Windy Las Vegas
Yesterday I flew into Las Vegas, NV for the 2005 National Hardware Show. There was a huge low pressure weather system centered over the city. Air rises upwards in a low pressure system and this creates a huge invisible low-speed tornado.
So when my plane landed, it wiggled down the runway becasue of the vicious crosswinds. It was not really that scary, but I must say many people on the plane were startled.
